When Bush returns to the WH

Former President G W Bush will visit the White House for the unveiling of his official portrait. He and Laura Bush will be guests of the WH during their stay.

What most people are thinking about is not the unveiling of the portrait, but the hospitality they will receive by a President who has been named the blame for virtually everything that has happened before Obama.

How will GW Bush be received by Obama? Will they share a beer or shoot hoops? Or will they play a round of golf?

None of those things will likely happen during their stay. However, Obama is required by protocol to behave like a Statesman. (at least in public)  Much of what is said in political rhetoric can be understood for what it is…rhetoric. Still, one has to wonder what they will talk about and avoid talking about.

If I was former President Bush, I might ask, if Obama had added anything to my presidential biography. But, recent reports didn’t indicate my bio was changed, so I might not bring it up at all. Laura would know if he had.

I might ask him where he got those fantasy figures showing he was not a big spender, but he would probably refer me to WaPo and Eugene Robinson who is still reporting the debunked story.

Pets are always a good subject, unless your name is Mitt Romney. I like dogs, so I might mention my dog and ask him how he likes his dog –but no, I’d better not go there.

Reading is always a good subject. I’d tell him I read the book about him titled Amateur and was looking forward to reading about his school and choom days as detailed in the new book Barack Obama the Story by David Maraniss coming out in June. –no that’s not a safe subject.

There doesn’t seem to be much polite conversation to be had with him.

If I was President Bush, I think I’d stay in my room praying the time would go quickly so I could get the heck outta there!

Obama’s Chicago Politics: Thuggery Not Civility – Rasmussen Reports™

Redux of 2008 campaign? Michael Barone writes.

AVS stands for Address Verification System. It’s the software that checks whether the name of the cardholder matches his or her address.

If a campaign doesn’t use AVS, it can wind up accepting contributions from phony names or accepting contributions from foreigners, both of which are illegal.

The 2008 Obama campaign pocketed money from “John Galt, 1957 Ayn Rand Lane, Galts Gulch CO 99999” and $174,000 from a woman in Missouri who told reporters she had given nothing and had never been billed. Presumably she would have noticed an extra charge of $174,000.

The Obama campaign is evidently happy to pocket the money. After all, this is the president who, according to political scientist Brendan Doherty, has appeared at more fundraisers in three and a half years than his six predecessors did in 35 years.”

Much Ado about Something Cherokee

It would make me very happy to see Elizabeth Warren defeated in her bid for Senate in Massachusetts.

But to be honest, the story about her claiming to be Native American is nothing more than a big distraction. Oklahoma was Indian Territory until 1907 when it became a State. My own grandparents X2 walked the Trail of Tears in the mid 1800s. All of them survived and were counted in the Dawes census and given roll numbers, along with blood quantum. The CDIB card or Certificate Degree of Indian Blood remains a requirement of proof of heritage and to this day the card is required for membership in the Cherokee Tribal Nation.  Some Cherokee were left off the census.

However, I claimed my Cherokee heritage most of my life without a problem. It wasn’t a problem because the Dawes Roll numbers were handed down through my family (both sides) and accepted as proof. Later, I obtained both CDIB card and Tribal membership using the roll numbers and family lineage as proof.

The people crying for her “scalp” should think about the battle they’re waging; Here’s why – when it starts becoming  a narrative of “us and them” which it always seems to, people are going to be divided even further. Winning on a race/ethnicity issue reeks of lefty tactics. I don’t care whether she has Cherokee ancestry or not, and after reviewing the Cherokee website today (May 5, 2012) it doesn’t appear to have much traction there either.

Recently, I find myself fighting against some of the people whose side I am on…conservatives. There’s no need for this on a national level, though it could be a useful political tool in the local Massachusetts race.  Winning- the battle and losing the war is not the best way to win.  Beat Warren fair and square on the issues!

Obama Re-Election Team: Shock and Awe Attack on Tea Party

Lloyd Marcus at a Tea Party rally
Lloyd Marcus, a favorite Tea Party member throws water on the racial wedge that prevails in today’s political rhetoric. He writes for American Thinker, a conservative and edgy web site.  Democrats, by and large do not look kindly on conservative minorities because they don’t tow the line on how they’ve been defined by the hard left.

It doesn’t seem to bother Marcus.

Last year, black Democratic Rep. Andre Carson said the Tea Party movement would “love” to see black Americans “hanging on a tree.”  Folks, as a black man who has spoken and sang at over 300 Tea Parties on five previous national tours, I say Carson’s statement is insane and evil.  I can still smell the vile, putrid odor of the pus of racial hatred oozing from the lips of Carson while telling his absurd, divisive lie.  How dare this small, despicable man intentionally create hate against millions of white Americans for political gain?

Bin Ladin, look at the mild featured face on a ideological killer.

CNN Security Clearance

By Mike Mount

Osama bin Laden ordered suicide squads to be created in Pakistan and Afghanistan for the sole reason of tracking down President Obama and Gen. David Petraeus, who was then the commander of NATO forces in Afghanistan, according to a letter written by bin Laden in May of 2010.

The letter, released by West Point’s Combating Terrorism Center, published some of the documents captured in the bin Laden raid last May. A review of the letters released publicly Thursday offer insight into the top leader’s thinking and planning as he remained hidden from global view but still tried to have a hand in directing his organization, al Qaeda.

The al Qaeda leader asked his lieutenants to identify people in both countries who could keep an eye out for Obama and Petraeus and conduct suicide operations against them as…
